Did you see a costume that is supposed to be the traditional clothes of an "anonymous" country and have no clue what that country's name is?
Don't worry. You can find it out easily on the campus of Lone Star College-North Harris with the International Student Alliance (ISA).
ISA primarily helps students to have a mutual, multicultural understanding. During this semester, ISA hosted the "Where in the world do you know?" and "Countries' presentations" activities.
At October Fest, ISA attracted students with the fun game 'Where in the world do you know?" Attendants had to answer short questions relating to places and countries around the world, which was interesting and difficult, according to participants.
Questions like "What is the capital of Singapore?" or "Where is the Vatican?" made the players brainstorm and either speak out the correct answers, or wonder if he/she was "smarter than a fifth grader."
Due to the desire of pointing out culture features, ISA lets its members be their countries' representatives. Students had the chance to inform others about their country by giving brief presentations.
Complex geography knowledge has never been so vivid and easily understandable, club members said.
The "Voice of the World" activity took place throughout "International Education Week" in November, for those who wanted to know about different languages.
There were voices from all around the world, spoken by North Harris students, which is proof that the campus really is a multicultural environment.
